Serving Tegucigalpa's Urban Poor
About Breaking Chains Honduras
Amber Foster established Breaking Chains Honduras in January 2009 as a way to reach out to the marginalized, street population in the capital city of Honduras. The ministry’s mission is to serve and seek change for those affected by urban poverty in Tegucigalpa by meeting basic needs and developing human relationships that act as a gateway toward a relationship with Christ.

Building purchase
Breaking Chains has recently become a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Honduras, granting us the right to purchase property in the name of the organization.
Thanks to the Winterest contribution, matching grant donors, and other donors, Breaking Chains has secured the funds and hopes to purchase the building this month.

Education
SponsorshipIn 2012, Breaking Chains hopes to sponsor all of the children and adults in our ministry to attend school or a vocational training program.
Four children have already been sponsored, but more help is needed. Please read about how you can help sponsor a child or teenager, and make a lasting impact on his or her life through the gateway of a better education.
