Breaking Chains Building Purchase
Since summer 2010, Breaking Chains has housed its ministry from a building on First Avenue in downtown Tegucigalpa. During that time, the organization has paid a monthly rent of $800 for use of the building, with the option to purchase for $130,000.
Breaking Chains has applied and is close to receiving the status of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Honduras. This status will grant the organization certain legal rights and privileges, including the ability to own property under the NGO's name.
Once the organization officially receives NGO status, Breaking Chains plans to purchase the building and will need the help of generous contributors to raise the $130,000 needed to do so.
