What we do...

Breaking Chains Honduras is committed to serving those in urban poverty both physically and spiritually.

We offer a variety of services to care for the basic needs of a person, as well as services to care for them on a deeper level. The services we offer include:

We have a "wish list" of services that we hope to be able to offer in the near future, including vocational and English classes, student and family sponsorship and a micro-loan program.

Living Facility

Breaking Chains opens its doors to serve as a temporary to semi-permanent living facility to people and families needing a place to stay for the night or for an extended period of time.

The facility is open during the day for anyone to come in off of the street and use the shower or spend a short while. People may choose to stay the night at the building provided they have received permission and follow the building's policies concerning sobriety and curfew.

The building also offers upstairs rooms to house those who decide to be a part of our live-in community. The residents living semi-permanently range from teenagers, to families with young children, to elderly adults. Residents must abide by the rules of the building including participating in all worship activities and following a building duties schedule. The hope is that, after one year of living in the facility, Breaking Chains will help to purchase the individual or family a small property and plug them into a community with an established church.
