Our work
Breaking Chains Honduras is committed to serving those in urban poverty both physically and spiritually.
We offer a variety of services to care for the basic needs of a person, as well as minister to them on a deeper level. So what does that look like?:
- Temporary to semi-permanent living facility
- Meal Service
- Worship and bible study
- Recreational programs
- Aquaponics farming
- Donated item giveaways
We have a "wish list" of services that we hope to be able to offer in the near future as funding and resources become available. These include vocational and English classes, student and family sponsorship and a micro-loan program.
What we offer...
-
Living Facility
Breaking Chains operates from a building on First Avenue in downtown Tegucigalpa.
The building currently serves as a temporary to semi-permanent living facility for people needing short-term lodging and community.
-
Meal Service
The quickest way to anyone's heart is through the stomach, so meals are a central part of our ministry.
Meals are served at the facility every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. and also after worship on Sundays.
-
Worship and Bible Study
At Breaking Chains, we know that a relationship with Christ is central to a healthy, purposeful life.
We hold a worship service every Sunday for adults and children as well as weekly bible study.
